Is A Belief In God Justified?

By Timothy Poelman

It's a fact, since man has existed we have always believed in some form of god. All over the world cultures have believed in some form of higher being.

There are many different religions on our planet and all of these religions worship a different god. Some religions worship more than one god.

Some people believe that because our world is divided into different religions that all believe in different gods that this proves that there is no god at all. Because clearly if there was a real god then it would not allow people to worship something else that does not exist. It would prove itself as being a god that exists.

Whether you believe in god or not, one good thing about religion is that it brings people together. And provides a guideline on a way to live.

On the other hand some religious people will not tolerate other people outside of their religion so it can actually break up communities.

As I'm sure you will know, there has been a tonne of evidence due to science that there is no possible existence of god. And there has been no factual evidence that there is a god but yet people still believe that god exists. And the more proof that there is no god from science seems to make people's belief stronger for some reason.

One thing that atheists find funny is that the Bible was written by humans yet people act as if the Bible was written by god himself. Yet it's a fact that the Bible is not the word of god but the writings of man.

The Bible has changed from the old testament to the new testament, what happened, did God change his mind?

Some people believe that people started to lose faith at some point so the religious leaders wrote the new testament to get people back to Christianity. And because god is much more loving and caring it worked to draw people back to the Christian religion.

Whether god exists or not is something nobody can say with 100 per cent confidence but we should all live our life as best we can and one day we will find out if god really exists or not.
